The buying office you do not have to open.
Research, order placement, a warehouse, inspection and a booked ship — for one product or for a container holding twenty suppliers.
Buying in Yiwu is not hard. It is just far away, in a language you probably do not read, at hours you are asleep. That is the whole job: being on the ground when the goods are, and being answerable when something is wrong.
The process
Six steps,
written down.
No stage moves without your instruction. Where a decision costs money, you make it.
Brief
We agree what the product has to be: material, size, finish, packing, certification, target cost and volume. Photos and links are fine; a spec sheet is better.
You get a written scope back — what we will look for, what we cannot find, and what we need from you.
Source
We walk the Futian halls and the factory belt around Yiwu, shortlist three or four suppliers and compare them on price, capacity and how they answer questions.
Samples are sent by courier at cost, with photographs and the supplier's real lead time attached.
Order
Once you approve a supplier, we place the order, agree the payment terms with the factory, and follow production with dated updates rather than reassurance.
Changes to specification go through us in writing, so the factory cannot quietly substitute a material.
Consolidate
Goods arrive at our warehouse and are received against your order line by line: quantity, specification, packing, labelling.
We photograph what arrived before it goes into the container, and report what does not match while there is still time to fix it.
Ship
We book the sailing, load and seal the container, and prepare the documents — invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin where required.
Mixed cargo leaves under one booking and one set of papers, so your customs broker sees a single consignment.
After arrival
If something is wrong at destination, we go back to the supplier with the evidence and argue it for you. That is the part a marketplace cannot do.
Repeat orders skip straight to step three.
Warehouse & inspection
The container is only as good as the check before it.
Everything is received, counted and photographed at our warehouse in Yiwu before it is loaded.
- Quantity against the purchase order, carton by carton
- Specification and material — measured, not assumed
- Finish and colour against the approved control sample
- Packing strength, inner protection and pallet condition
- Labels, barcodes and shipping marks as instructed
- Photographs of every order line before loading
- Carton dimensions and weight for the loading plan
A report goes out with the photographs. If a line fails, you decide: reject it, accept it at a discount, or have us fix it locally before the container closes.
We would rather tell you about a problem three weeks early than explain it after arrival. That is the whole value of having someone on this side of the water.
Freight
Three ways out.
Quoted with the goods, not after them — so the landed number is visible from the start.
| Mode | Use it when | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| FCL — full container | The volume fills a 20′ or 40′ on its own, or the goods are too bulky to co-load. | Exclusive container, sealed at loading, one bill of lading. |
| LCL — shared container | You have a few cubic metres and do not want to wait for a full load. | Your cargo co-loaded by a consolidator, charged by volume. |
| Air freight | The goods are light, urgent, or needed before a launch date. | Airport-to-airport or door delivery, with the same inspection report. |
We quote FOB, CIF or DDP. On FOB and CIF the goods are yours once they leave the Chinese side, and you clear them yourself at destination. On DDP we carry the whole chain — export, ocean or air freight, import clearance — and deliver to your door with the duties already in the price. Ask for DDP when you want one landed number instead of a freight invoice arriving later from a forwarder you have never met.
Where your country requires the buyer to be importer of record, we say so in the quote and deliver to your nominated forwarder instead.
Questions
Before you write.
The things buyers ask us in the first exchange.
Do you have a minimum order?
Not on the service. The goods may have a factory minimum, and we will tell you what it is before you commit. Small orders can travel with other cargo in a consolidated container.
Can I mix products from different suppliers in one container?
Yes — that is most of what we do. Goods from any number of suppliers are received at our warehouse, checked, and loaded together under one booking. You get one bill of lading and one arrival instead of five.
Who pays the suppliers?
Either way works. Many clients pay us and we settle with the factories, which keeps one invoice and one currency on their side. Others pay the factory directly and use us for the work. Terms are agreed in writing before the first order.
Can you inspect goods I have already bought elsewhere?
Yes. If you already have a supplier, we receive their goods, check them against your specification and load them — inspection and consolidation without the sourcing.
How long does a first order take?
Sourcing and sampling usually runs two to four weeks; production depends on the factory, and sea freight adds transit time on top. We give dated estimates at each stage and update them when they move.
Do you offer DDP?
Yes. On DDP we arrange the export, the freight and the import clearance ourselves and deliver to your address, with the duties included in the price we quote. You get one landed number and no second invoice on arrival. FOB and CIF remain available if you would rather use your own forwarder and clear the goods yourself.
Why not just buy on a marketplace?
A marketplace shows a price. It does not stand in the warehouse and open the carton. We buy the goods and answer for them, which is a different arrangement — and it is why a mixed container is possible at all.

One photograph is enough to begin.
Send it with a rough quantity and the port you ship to. We will come back with suppliers, price and a date.
